The Paiute Indian Nation

by Robert D. Bolen, B.A.

This book is a glimpse into the Paiute Indians of North America. The Northern Paiute Indians ranged from Utah into California, as did the Southern Paiutes, who dwelled primarily along the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon. The Paiute Indians were peaceful farmers. The Bannock Band split off from the Northern Paiutes and left Eastern Oregon crossing into Idaho and joined the Shoshones and fought the Bannock War against the U.S. Army in 1878.
